Centre Tunnel Cover

Post by 10DJM »

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me the correct finish for the gear shift linkage cover in the centre tunnel on a 1973 911 Targa.
Is it painted satin black, covered with carpet material or just covered over by the carpet itself?

Thanks
Duncan

Hi Duncan

Here is a picture of an unmolested late 73 (not a targa but a coupe) for you to ponder over.

Thanks guys.
While I'm on does anyone have a picture of the correct way to finish the vinyl covering at the bottom of the B pillar?
Cheers

Mike, I took it that Duncan means the small cover for access to the gear shifter coupling, not the centre tunnel, and that was the basis of my answer.

On that basis then Mick, I think your answer is better.
