One of the down-sides of moving an engine in bits around is that parts can mysteriously vanish in transit.
In my case its the fan strap that has gone awol.
Does anyone have a spare one for sale? I'm not sure what parts compatibility there is, but this is for a '73 2.4 engine.

Re: Wanted: Fan strap
Two bolt type up to approx feb 73 and one bolt thereafter for complete originality. Both should work on a fan housing from the period. I have a couple of spares (I think) in one or the other. Not sure about the bolts though.

Re: Wanted: Fan strap
Thanks Mike,
The car's a late (July) '73. The Porsche PET appears to suggest two M8 x 45 Pan head screws for 1973 - even if the picture shows a single bolt:
I'll PM you!

Re: Wanted: Fan strap
They're still available from Porsche for a not-too-silly price, so I've gone for the shiny option.

Re: Wanted: Fan strap
Hi Charles
May I ask if they have both one bolt and two bolt available?
Your car would have originally had the single bolt type.
