Love this new section, it is great for us all. Many DDK regulars have later cars and it will also bring in new people.

Just one thought, surely the title should say 'Post 73 911 content' ?

There's been a discussion about pre 73 and post 74 etc before - can't for the life of me remember the outcome so happy to go with whatever is the most accurate

Definitely should be 'Post 73' .
January 1 1974 is the year for the impact bumpers started and the long bonnet stopped.
Post means after, so Post 74 is 75...

Great idea and much appreciated anyway!

Ok so what about the early forum - that needs to be pre 74 then?

For me, yes,but it's in AM74 when PORSCHE change radicaly the body design !
long Hood before ( to AM73 include ) and impact bumpers just after ( AM74 )
Or use LONG HOOD and SHORT HOOD.....

Yes by definition early cars should be 'Pre 74'
Impact bumpers are 'Post 73'

Defined by Model years, obviously some impact models were built in 73, they were 74 models as everyone probably knows.

Yes I agree my 74 Carrea has a Nov 73 build date. Not sure it really matters all that much?

Thank you for creating this. I have an 82 SC coupe (and a 74 Alfa GTV) so this is my happy place. John.
