Although I have no idea where this bit goes !???
I thought maybe behind the seats? But I have the mats for there. And by the time it goes up and over the tunnel hump it's too short???

Any thoughts??

Targa roof headliner (but looks narrow) or under bonnet bulkhead (cut to shape)?

Across the width of the car. The strengthening section that the front of the seats fix to. I think it was originally supposed to be vinyl.

Edit

Just saw that you have that section in vinyl.

Possibly the boot panel between the boot and engine bay but need to cut to size?

Or as it has no edging perhaps an accidental extra piece put in with kit?

You were right first time Dean. I asked lakewell and they confirmed it. I had fitted the vinyl from my last carpet kit. I think it was the only good thing about it! :)
I must say though I'm very happy with this kit. Very good quality for the money and easy too fit. Only one piece needed a slight trim but it was really nothing !!

Regards Mark.

Didn't you say "I bought an extra bit for the dog bone foot rest."

Dog bone!
Why would you need one of them on a 72 model year?
The dog bone was only fitted to the 70-71 model year 914 without an adjustable passenger seat!

Aha Ive come to this late.

Carpet sets and fitting will be on my list in a few months. Good to see the process. They look great btw.
