The car has been in storage all year while I collected parts and spent hours looking at pics of GTs, dreaming and saving.

However with it due to go to Wales for its transformation next month - I could not resist the temptation to take it out this weekend in the December sunshine.

A tad smug, I grant you:

But as you can see, it was not just me feeling quite pleased

Thanks guys, it is certainly a good one, and I have been umm-ing and ahh-ing all year over whether to keep it narrow.

It's always best to start with the best base you can get, hopefully means as few surprises as possible down the line.

So I'm taking the plunge. It will be great when it's finished!

What is the plan for the body, and who have you got to do it? I'm still having things done to mine, can't wait for Redtek to finish rebuilding the motor !

Body wise:
GT arches on (steel).
GT GRP bumpers front and rear.
Front mounted oil cooler will go in, so front slam panel cut for airflow and louvred panel in front trunk flow.
We are retaining the steel rocker covers and fabricating flared steel ends for them, for a superior fit to GRP rocker covers.
The engine ic urrently on a quick six mount, and we'll replace with a maddogs weld in mount.
New paint all over.

All that work is being done by a race and rally prep shop in Newtown. Project managed by a friend who lives very local.

My guess James, it's going to look very much like this example once finished.
