Guess why it never ran? They couldn't sort out a suitable transmission...

Shame it never ran!
They do run similar stuff in tractor pulling though

https://youtu.be/ZHqoNiQ2e10
That only produces a piffling 7600 hp - not the alleged 12000 hp of the Quad Al :?

It would have to be an SS model - & preferably LHD - but it's difficult to find one in the right colour combination.

They do look good but they're not really 'me' ...

Didn't realise the one you posted was an SS actually for sale Andy, looks a great but rhd. Why the preference for left, and have you driven one?

My worry would be that driving experience, at 1400 kg's with a V6 putting out 217hp don't think it's going to feel particularly quick and 70's Maser's not renown for their handling either. Would be interesting to try one though......

Me too.

Mike - I have driven a couple of Meraks but it was a loooong time ago (20 yrs ?) - I remember having a conversation with Mike Elliott of Superformance at the time who felt they were very underrated.

The driving experience is more 'touring' than sports but it's about the style rather than anything else.

However, even good examples seem to hang around for a long time (an indication that they're overpriced but sellers stubbornly stick to their asking prices  ) & as I don't tend to keep my cars very long it's something that puts me off.
