I thought these were all based on 944s or maybe I am confusing two similar models.

I'd only seen 944-based versions before too, but the ad states '1 of 9' and I can't see why it would be any different to convert a 924.

I went to look at this car today - I've always fancied one. It needs a lot of "tidying" and if I bought it I'd want to have either 944 or 924 Carrera GT wings put on it and maybe a pasha interior. I think it could be a really nice car but not sure if you'd get back what needs to be spent on it.

You're certainly not going to see one coming the other way !

Local to me, rear windows were obviously perspex, that's all I remember... other than given sufficient funds I'd definitely have one.

Let me know if I should go back and look it over for you.

Hope you're well and pulling plenty of teeth to keep the car buying habit going !

The interior really needs completely replacing or a major major refurb - my thought was black leather with pasha or tartan inserts - wheels are revolution and really need to be either Fuchs or Azev - As I said earlier if I buy it I'd have 924 Carrera GT or 944 wings - I spoke to Andrew about it in detail and we agreed the side panels need "breaking up" a little by having black window edges/ borders - lower lights in the front spoiler - passat roof bars ( all as in the link below - click all 7 photos )

https://en.wheelsage.org/dp_motorsport/ ... es/292620/

having just done my 356 restoration and Alfa SZ and Abarth 500 resto's in progress I'm not sure I need another project at the moment, however Andrew's going to send me costs to do the above and then I'll make a decision! ( in turmoil as I've just sold my 996 Turbo and the cash is burning a hole in my pocket ! )

Thanks Guru,

Pulling teeth ! Such a chore !!!

Agree needs the 944 treatment, I know the owner of the silver one in the pics and he can be persuaded, but Brexit has upped the antee on that, keep us posted on your dealings.

Surely the one out one in rule is applicable here ?

Fully agree on the "one out one in" rule but I recently seem to have got up to eight without any great level of effort being applied and the Caterham I mentioned in a previous thread could be joining the club soon !

F*ck Bexit, we're only here once ! - do you know how much your mate could be persuaded to sell the silver cargo for ?

Have you bought anything else recently ? Are you having you 356 restored by Darryn at DC ? etc, etc

My man Johnny use to work for DP Motorsport and I'll speak to him in the morning and see if he remembers the car. We have made some enquiries regarding the "kits" but they're no keen on others building cars despite the fact that Johnny is one of the guys that used to build them back in the day at DP. Will revert.....

Hi Guru,

Have asked the question for you.

I'm selling the 356, don't think I can take the pain of doing it !!
