And whilst not this engine, you never know what you might get from this clearly honest and respectable individual.

Engine 6650145 half way down this thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthre ... did=187431

After Manipou's posting on Pelican stating that he is not antonslimited (& his direct email to me asking that I delete my posts) I did a bit more digging (as did Nick completely separately) & found this website for Anton's Leasing :

http://www.antonsleasing.co.uk/

Amazing coincidence - the contact information for Anton's Leasing is:

Manuel.Pou@antonsleasing.co.uk

& the address is the same as Anton's Limited...

Some people forget how much information is readily available on the internet.

Anagram of Manuel Pou = upon a mule. Definitely some kind of ass...

Arthritic Granny Cubist could do better than this  and she's always off her teets on Port!

Heres a cracker for you.

I sent antonlimited a question as follows
"Dear Antons Limited

I am looking at bidding on a Porsche 1974 2.7RS that has been relisted recently to put in my RS rep.
I see that you won the original auction but did not complete the transaction.

Did you see the engine and can you tell me if there is anything wrong with it and why you did not complete the transaction?

Sorry to bother you and many thanks for your help. "

And I got a reply from an ebay user called Manipou as follows:

"HI, yes I won that auction and went over to the house last weekend, there was nothing actually wrong with the engine but I thought personally that it was not as good as described. Fundamentally it was all there but I wanted an engine to put straight in my car and this engine needs to at least be serviced and maybe a top end gasket set to be sure. I did admit that I could put it in my car but the time and effort to do that only to find it need to be taken out again was not on. I tried to explain this to the seller and said I would pay £4000 instead of £4500 and he was not happy, he basically asked me to leave there and then, no discussion at all!..Anyway I am expecting negative feedback any day now and it will be a shame as I have 100% up to now.

Good luck if you have a bid, I have seen these engines go for much more than I bid but I guess you get what you pay for, rebuilt engine are double the price..
Good luck Antons"

Well howard4602 (0) was the winning bidder second time around at £4,200. Mani bid £4,500 the first time. Any guesses when it will appear again? It seems odd that rosie didn't give anton bad feedback......

I like the fantastically malapropistic ebayer called lutonminor1 who gives our friend Manipou feedback saying 'Top Hole A+++'
