Stand the oil in a bowl of hot water beforehand and it'll only take you 10.

I've heard that sitting on your hand for 10 mins makes it feel like someone else is doing it.

I don't want to jinx anything but I might have finally fixed the 914 in time for the last race of the season at harewood.

Full test drive tomorrow will reveal if I actually have or not....

Incredibly not, despite thoroughly cleaning the whole underside and taking advice from The Great Sage of the Lakes for a likely source, all looked absolutely fine.....

......although something tells me the leak hasn't healed itself! :? .....

Image

....seems to maifest itself when the gearbox cools....still, not a problem, I'll leave the engine in place and drop the gearbox for a thorough check and fix :)

I'm not convinced it would be much easier to just take out the gearbox even if you've done the modification

I suppose you've got no engine oil to drain and a few less pipes to disconnect - I'd have thought it would be a bit fiddly though

Happy to be corrected
