Trailing arm setting

Post by DEEMAN »

Advice please. Standard 1965 car (in every way) for road use.
Books say 36 degrees but can be set at 39 degrees as later models.
Do I stick with original setting knowing that the torsion bars have settled or change to later setting.
Advice so far has been stick with 36 degrees.

Ian

I would stick with the manuals advice to get it built up. Hen I last did mine I had everything from a nose down hot rod look to a builders van full of bricks stance.

My car has after market torsion bars that are not the standard diameter. I found an angle calculator on pelican eventually.

You can always have a full geo setup once you have it on the road and a few miles to settle it.
