Where to buy tinware for my 912 - UK based
Hi all
I'm quite new to the 912 and older Porsche scene in general, just wondering who can supply the metals, such as panels floors etc etc that do rust, also my current parts are only a bit rusty but they are original, so what is the consensus here, do you guys recommend to repair or replace, as right now the lines etc are perfect. The paint is Original but very faded so I'm going to get a blow over just to get the shine back, if you haven't read my other thread the car is a 1968 912
Thanks !

Some photos would be good
Would help people give more accurate answer to some of your questions.

Porsche themselves still supply panels. Expensive at times but they fit better than any of the pattern panels I have bought. Next would be restoration design who make their own in Canada with a European base.
About ninth on the list would be Dansk panels and only if I really had to.

Is there a diff in the panels between 911 and 912 of the same year? And also do the diff wheelbases also have differences in panels?

Well you are nicely located for two 911/912 experts.Mr912 wrote:Also I'm based in west London near Chiswick
Chris Turner has his garage in NW10 and is on here as butzi. He has been working on these cars since the 70s. Chris organises a DDK get together in SW London. I think it's the 3rd Wednesday in the month. Have a look in the events section.
Also Max at Revival Car is focused on 912. He is based at Terminal 5.
