Thanks again for all the feedback - really appreciated.

Cesare has been fine to deal with via email although it's taking a little while to nail down a few things. Looks like I'll be placing an order with him as soon as he sends me his bank details.

I'm going for the flat sliders with low mounting adaptors and I think he may also be sending me some of the black & white material so that I can get the rear seats recovered to match.

Cheers, Ross.

Or go for the retro-mod look with a pair of modern Recaro's suitably re-trimmed!

Nice seats but a little too modern for me!

A certain Jack Logan also supplies what looks like very good replica seats, best of the ones I have seen. A little pricey (Eur 3200) delivered to the UK including runners etc. Am contemplating these or a set of BF Torinos.

Does anyone in the UK supply and fit the BF Torinos or is it a case of get them delivered and then fit yourself?

Thanks

I got my BF Torino seats from Mark Waring, Rennsport Classics earlier this year.....super easy to deal with. Straight forwards to fit, too.

I have a pair of BF Torino seats which I had retrimmed, very comfy. I wanted a recliner so went with their Nürburgring R.

I got them direct from BF Torino, http://www.bf-torino.com/. And my local trimmer did the colour change with vinyl he had in stock and I had the brown houndstooth made up.

Mine are D'eser.
You would have to ask Mick Cliff how much they cost as I got them secondhand but you are welcome to sit in them sometime

I can't remember (!) and the original receipt went with the car when it sold. Surprisingly (to me) the buyer of the car wanted the original seats rather than the D'Esers.
I do remember that I had to pay money up front to D'Eser before they took the order. A leap in faith for a Yorkshireman

Thanks all for the replies, very helpful as ever.

Jason - May take you up on that offer as would be useful to compare vs the seats I have in my car.

Thanks!

My seats were supplied by Rennsport Classics three years ago - very good service, and very pleased with the seats.

I chose their Sports model, RS80: Black leatherette / Black corduroy centre

I know Cesere for a number of years, and last saw him a few years back on a trip to Torino. Stefan from GTS was his US distributor and for some reason, they had a falling out.

He also co-operated with BF Torino, but they both decided to go in the same direction, and hence became fierce competitors.

I don't think you can go wrong with D'Esser. Can't vouch for anyone else.

I've sat in some of these seats and IMHO they are a little too narrow compared with Porsche Seats, you kind of roll off the edge or over it. And they don't fill the cabin like Porsche ones. A very good alternative though as Porsche ones are silly money, and then you need the head rests and runners and rails.

D'Eser seats - still a good option?

Post by 23e Heure »

I agree with the comment about seat width...
My D'esers are definitely not quite as wide as the original sport seats I had in my old E.
Not a big deal for a skinny arse like me, but noticeable for my heftier co-drivers.
Things do get a bit better as the bolsters settle in, but still something to be aware of.
