Alfa love

Post by 40 scout »

I know there's a few fans of the 105 coupe on here - if anyone's interested there's a few pics on Instagram 'Solentswimmer' of my 2000 + mile trip to the Italian Lakes just over a week ago. (911 still awaiting engine :-( )

day 1 - Portsmouth to Davos

day 2 - Davos to Lake Garda

day 3 - Drive along the Lake

day 4 - Lake Garda to Verona (via Alfa museum in Milan)

day 5 - Sightseeing in Verona

day 6 - Verona to Como

day 7 - Como to Lake Geneva, via amazing alpine pass !

day 8 Lake Geneva to Portsmouth

Car ran faultlessly at 85 ish all the way, fantastic in the mountains, huge Alfa love from the Italians too, one of the best driving trips I've done.

If anyone is pondering - jump in and GO !

Steve :-)

LOL yes it takes some getting used to but it's really funky when it suddenly 'clicks'.

Great car also, but then you know that as I was after it too! Cool trip :thumbright:

Thanks all taking the Alfa home was the general idea, and it loved it, one tip, go late, after around 10 sept, most of the Germans / crowds have left by then.

Beautiful part of the world - just stunning.

Go guys !
