crayford running

Post by 914-6 »

Started my 1969 Crayford for the first time since 2002---now I need to get it mot'd and fully roadworthy so that I can enjoy it whilst the sun shines.
Happy days !!

Fantastic, I remember your car from Castle Combe many years ago. I had an orange rhd converted 2:0 litre. Sitting in yours made me realise that the pedals on mine hadn't been done as well as the Crayford conversion. You have also given me hope as my current 914 ("just " an original left hooker this time) hasn't run for about 10 years and I'm desperately trying to get her back on the road! Enjoy the rest of summer in yours!

Thanks Phil
I do remember your car, If I remember correctly it was converted by Country Classics or a very similar name.
Wishing you luck with your present car.
Cheers

No, Sorry JW I am at Silverstone this weekend with Howells.
Whilst I may have got it to run it still needs brakes rebuilding etc before I even dare drive to mot station.
I was trying to get it ready for the Crayford meet the following Sunday but I doubt it will be done.
Cheers for now
Ian
