New record for 1974 Carrera?

Post by KS »

How about €325,000 for a lime green sunroof '74 Carrera at Essen? Sold Thursday, replaced on stand today by similar car in silver at bargain €275,000...

I see the black 993 RS from Auto Vero seems to have fallen off the list.

Does anyone know what this sold for?

Does that mean Ferry Man put an extra 50000 euros on his by painting it lime green instead of the original silver?

And to think that people poo-poo'd FerryMan for all the effort (and money) he put into his. Well done Paul, I think its safe to say you've been proved right......not that you're selling it !

Very nice but I can't believe the gold wheels will be listed on the CoA

With chrome delete windows should the headlamp bezels not be body coloured or did that come later?

Wheels with gold centres were available in 1974 as option M451 but usually I think the matching gold Carrera script was specified. I also think the centre caps should be bright aluminium rather than black for 1974.

1974 model Carreras with black trim still had the chrome headlamps, for 1975 body coloured over-ings were fitted.

Here is the replacement 275K euro car with M. Automobilia still dealing with the merchandising.

This one looked nice too with only 35,000Km shown on the dial and sporting red tartan seats.

Thanks Guy. I stand corrected on the wheels. I don't think they sit well with the green though but hey it was the '70's!

On a 5 digit odometer, more likely 135K. Needed lots of details correcting.
