I SHOULD like it but I really don't. Not sure why but it just isn't pressing my buttons at all. Maybe I'm just not a fan of Guards red on these back dates?

Sam took a PS car to Germany that was widebody and I'm sure Guards red also and I didn't like that either...

From the photos you'd certainly need to see it in the flesh though....

I hate to say it, but Jason is right. Red there is wrong somehow. Maybe better in the flesh. The pics make it look a bulbous mess.
I thought the car Sam took to Nurburg was ok, just a bit rough. Better than the pics here though.

Also the one Sam took to Nurburgring was a backdate - this one isn't - it's still an IB, albeit with plastic bumper
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Agree on outside, Talbot mirror looks ridiculously dainty beside the flared body. But think the interior is great. Not for an 'early' look but very cool for an IB hot rod.

I think the interior is horrible - one of the worst aspects of the car ...

I agree the mix on IB and backdate doesn't work - I've tried hard to get a more authentic backdate on my 3.2 Carrera. I didn't want to create a replica simply too costly esp regarding correct engine and running gear and with a chipped 3.2 engine putting out 240-245 bhp why bother! car is so very close to being finished with just some snags to do- see pics below. I didn't want any chrome for the very reasons noted in previous replies - just looks wrong, I even went to the trouble of getting new repro horn grilles and painting them black, I colour coded the headlamp surrounds - again chrome was a no-no. I managed to get some Talbot style mirrors in matt black and I think they work well? - I wanted that black and red look without any chrome.

Same went for the interior - lightweight style - all black - no chrome.

Hope you like the pics and what I've done.

Looks lovely! Agree nice with no chrome on your car. Mirrors are cool in black.

Hi Paul
You're not a million miles away from an IROC-inspired car there. I'm thinking 15inch petalled fuchs, few stickers, change the red round the dashboard, etc,etc
Aiming for this sort of thing:

My take on the SC RS look, which it isn't as it is a track/race/sprint car.
Hope this works as it is my first picture posting!!
