I have a 993 that I've owned for a while now, and am in the process of adding an early car.
The chase seems to be half the fun - none of the possible transactions is 100% straightforward. So far I've had a lot of interesting chats, spent really many hours on here, early911sreg, samba, ebay etc, and learned more about import duty and VAT than I really wanted to know.
Pics seem to be encouraged. Apologies that it's a bit modern but here's the 993. It's a simple Carrera, and must be pretty-much the lightest spec of 993 (which is not the lightest car, of course), being 2WD, pre-varioram, and without aircon.
The earlier 993s had shorter gear ratios than the later ones, which makes a difference to the feel.
It's a low miles (about 50K) car, and I think a keeper.
I've done a few small mods, mainly in the suspension department. It's now running Bilstein PSS10 adjustable coilovers, with the ride height set to RS+about10mm, set up by Chris at Center Gravity. Very nicely balanced now.

Well, in common with at least one other 993 owner on here, I have a 2014 M5 as the family bus:
Seems reasonably well built for a modern car, but I'm thinking the rear tyres and the bulb in the traction control light might wear out quite quickly.
