Looks like you picked the wrong week to give up glue sniffing.

I think Nick would rather I didn't dabble.Mike wrote:looking great, especially now you've realised to get it finished you have to do it yourself!
Apparently some of my work is not of a high enough standard.
He didn't seem to agree that I could simply fix it in Photoshop....

It is good to dabble as it snatches ownership away from NickFerry Man wrote:I think Nick would rather I didn't dabble.Mike wrote:looking great, especially now you've realised to get it finished you have to do it yourself!

Re: 1974 Carrera Coupe - RHD, UK car
Surely the expense will end soon?
I thought I'd purchased all the parts I'd need but my rear screen turned out to be rather scratched and in poor shape.
Also I was keen to have a working demister and upon checking the heating elements Nick discovered that out of about 20 wires only 2 worked.
I decided that rather than hunt for a perfect functioning secondhand screen I would buy a new one.
Sadly that proved to be more difficult and expensive than I'd imagined.
Despite trying several alternate sources I ended up buying direct from Porsche themselves.
Which wasn't difficult but was over £500. However, top marks to them, it arrived next-day.
They've got 3 more in UK stock at Reading if you want one....

Bad luck Paul, but hang the expense.. you'll be seeing a lot of cars disappearing in your rear view mirror so you'll need a clear view!Ferry Man wrote:Surely the expense will end soon?![]()
Is the new r/screen exactly the same tint as the rest?
BTW the tartan looks as good as ever
