You left off my favorite picture! I can't wait to feel the ride on this one. We'll post some suspension pictures next week.

One last picture. Here's the piece to repair the smugglers box. Looks like the same color donor car as well. ;)

Should be here Monday.

Brake caliper shots will come with some suspension shots this week. They're done and came out great. We'll get some detailed shots of the rubber going on and the bearings going in. Once the rotors are on we'll cap everything off with the calipers. Kinda like setting the stone Jos! :D

Here's today's update from across the pond: Rear suspension bushing and bearing time.

The entire suspension on this car was media blasted to bare metal and repainted. Various bits were replated using clear and yellow zinc as it has superior corrosion protection vs. cad. Any under body bits we like to do this way. We use paint over powder because the brake lines and hoses are a very precise fit and powder gets too thick for that.

Here's the group shot:

Rear Bushings ready to be installed:

Bearings ready to go in:

A stock sway bar system is a great upgrade for Jos's car. The original style mounting plates were welded to the body (this won't be a demanding track monster and originality won out) and these factory pins were added to the arms through the brace:

Bearing in it's new home:

Bushing installed:

We went on to finish the parking brake assembly. Again, everything media blasted to bare metal and a fresh coating of paint and zinc where applicable:

Just seen this, thank you Eric that looks amazing, brand new and as if straight from the factory. Im hoping I will be able to drive this car without fearing I will be damaging all the hard work put in!

Now what about those callipers..... :)

I don't recall this car coming with calipers...

Sorry... I shouldn't tease.

Final touch to the metalwork around the smugglers box while waiting for the right Schutz to arrive. Filling in the holes where the AC had been fitted aftermarket. hopefully should be the last bit before paint.

More progress last week.

The handbrake assemblies and the hubs were pulled in. They're getting rotors and calipers as I type.

Everything plated and painted:

And... a surprise for Jos!
