Re: '72 911T Restoration
Thanks for the kind comments....yes, everyone who has been involved with this project is very proud of the part that they have played to get it to this stage - thanks again to everyone you know who you are!
Now for the bumpers, doors, bonnet and decklid....
The picture on the mobile phone below was actually taken at the end of last summer for reference purposes.........you can barely tell the difference between the picture on the phone and the finished door frame in the background!
Gaps are looking good....
I just love this colour!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Res outside shots from which you can really appreciate the magnificence of this paint job to follow soon!!!!!!!!

I'm sitting in a proper pub with a pint of fine pale ale, fire burning waiting for my daughter to finish drama school and reading this thread and looking at these wonderful pictures of a quality car has just tipped my day off. Exquisite!

The painting of the front trunk area is a work of art. The rest is 'alright'.
Congrats to all.

(sound of coughing/clearing throat )……you're selling your car short Mr Huckle….gaps are actually 100% perfect and as good as I've ever seen; clever chap that Mr CarterMadrat wrote:Gaps are looking good....
The dusty images of the car posted so far are merely reference/update pics sent to Richard..…..I think you'll find that the 'money shots' really are pure Porsche porn!Madrat wrote:Hi Res outside shots from which you can really appreciate the magnificence of this paint job to follow soon!!!!!!!!

Re: '72 911T Restoration
A 'Barry Shell' really is something, and this shows here, preparation is everything based on a perfect foundation.
Us garage DIY's have no choice but to stare in envey!
This last 3 years have seen the bar raised so so high now.
Lovely shell and a beautiful 'full-on' colour.
Another feature car for sure!

A couple of High Res outside teasers shots.....more to follow later!
The bonnet isn't scratched........the white marks are airplane vapour trails being reflected against the paintwork!

I took 300 plus 'final' photographs for Richard on Friday (I would have happily snapped away all day!) and managed to whittle this down to 45 good ones....
....I make it only another 42 for Richard to post!!!!

Re: '72 911T Restoration
The paintwork in every area is truly exquisite...... I have seen shells painted by 'experts' around the world, Freddie Hernandez, sports wagon, etc and their work is to be admired as top class but this (and Richards car) is mixing with the very best. The underbody and trunk details are fabulous never mind the panel finish which looks mirror smooth. It really is impressive.
Hats off to all those for their hard work and expertise which has obviously gone into this and produced a wonderful painted shell. You should be suitably proud of your work. Barry's canvas must be a joy of a starting point for prep and paint so hats off to him also.
There are three or four finished and current restorations now around the UK which have lifted the already high bar to the next level. It's great to see.
Regards
Mike

I really wished you could see the car, it's so beautiful, I don't think the photographs truly do it justice.
A little reminder of how the car looked when it first came to visit…
