If you mean the shroud (the fan housing is magnesium) then it should not be painted, it's self coloured GRP

I guess with this being in the 356 section you're referring to the code for the grey on a fan shroud for a 75 Super engine

As Bettsy says... Gloss black on 60hp normals, silver/grey on earlier (>61?) 75/90hp supers, white/grey on later sports I believe. Back to black again on late SC...

Sorry - yes the fan shroud. The car is a 1963 T6 356B with the 75S engine. The shroud is originally a silver grey colour I was wondering if knows the factory paint code or a commonly used code?

its magnesium, the process we use is vapour blasting, followed by chromate application, gives a dark grey finish

A 356 Fan shroud isn't magnesium Phil

Hi
Ecas the 2cv people do a grey for painting 2cv wheels etc, I think its made by Multona, in my opinion its a good match and gives a good finish and wears well for an aerosol.

I need to be a bit clearer when typing in the subject box.
We have a silver grey that we use for wheels. Thanks
