1960 356B T5 LHD

Post by KEVFITZ »

Deep breath...here goes...due to continuing and worsening ill health I am listing my 356 for your consideration:

1960 356B T5 LHD Silver in colour ..oe colour Athena Blue.
Chassis number:112238 Engine number:603150
Summary:

Body...painted about 20 yrs ago and still looks good...no major dings...finished as a 1960's Dutch Rally car which was dear to me when I lived in Holland...no bumpers...all decals can be removed easily.

chassis..whole new floor in 2011 ( Roger Bray panels) + wheel well repaired...longtitudinals in good order...no holes in chassis

Interior..full red leather interior in 2011..great smell and patina..Nardi wheel with black spokes (not seen another)

Gearbox...no issues...smooth,quiet and easy changes
Brakes..disc brake front conversion...all lines + flexis ,wheel bearings +rear brakes in 2011
Fuel tank cleaned out...painted,new lines and petcock

12volt with electronic ignition

Wheels..5.5x15 silver steel replicas with Firestone F560 tyres + Drumskinz

Engine...brace yourself !!!!..14000 pound Gantspeed TOTAL rebuild. Briefly: 1720cc Shasta,reground crank,heads flycut,guides ,valves + springs,new cam,new flywheel,Dellorto 40 rebuilt,050 distributor,new fuel pump,912 generator,pulley halfs..oil lines + Precision Engineering oil filter + electronic tacho.compression ratio set at 9.3:1...total balanced perfection by Robert Gant in 2012...only 3000 miles done...I wanted this to last forever !!!!
Exhaust...Turbo Thomas s/steel single outlet...nice growl but not too loud.

These cars are a passion with real soul and will fill your life with joy...not many come up that are ready to use with enthusiasm...I have done 100 miles in it today and did not forsee this happening to me and I will miss it dearly if it goes.
It is mot'd and taxed.
But life's a bitch and then you die !!!!...I won't be able to enjoy it as it should be used in the near future .

I am looking for 36500 pounds for a good honest car with a fantastic engine and drivetrain..I live near York ,am retired and will do my best to be available for interested parties. Not advertised anywhere else..I hope a DDKer becomes the next custodean.

Please respond to my email kevinfitzharris@hotmail.co.uk if there is interest and I will send photos I took today.

Thanks for reading
