After several weeks at Canfords, i recieved some updated photos this week of how the prep work for the repaint is going, so far other two new door skins and some repair work on the inner doors the rest of the car the work has progressed without issues.

Hopefully the car will now be in primer and paint will be going on next week. Hoping to have the car back before my holidays at end of June, fingers crossed..

The car from a far and in most areas close up looked ok, however there were one of two areas starting to look tired. my plans were always to try and get the car both mechanically and aesthetically as good as possible, once the paintwork is complete and a few other jobs then i plan to enjoy the car without having to spend to much on her for next good few years... fingers crossed

Looks lovely and solid underneath Mark :)

Alan's paintwork is top notch and the car is going to look even more stunning when finished…...if indeed that was ever possible!

Simply gorgeous! 8)

The front wings, spoiler and rear bumpers were all brand new parts fitted just 4 years ago. So of course they are still like new.

But Wow!... how good does it look at the rear end too. Brilliant 8)

Mark: Promise me you will work to retain the originality of the interior (door cards excepted). It has always felt 'just right' in that cabin of that car

Hi James

I have no plans to touch the interior, i like it just the way it is, so no need to worry there. one of the other jobs Alan will be undertaking is to install rear seat belts so my 3 year old boy can can travel in the back.

door pockets will get replaced at some point, but thats the only planned change to the interior, probably next year...

After a few months of tweaking my car, all work is now more or less complete, a few updates below:

as I mentioned during my last update the only problem areas when the car was bare metalled were the door skins, new door skins going on below

Will upload some pictures of my newly refurbed door pockets fitter to the car in the next week or so. Thomas a fellow ddk refurbed the pockets and I have to say they look great, and a snip at around £80 a pocket ....
