Welcome back Paul and the rest must've done you good cos I reckon that's one of the best pics on the thread so far, the colour is really popping against the grey or maybe it's the bike? OK so I haven't gone back over 100+ pages but let's hope it's not too late for the calendar entry :)

I do love car dealers some times. I enquired about this car directly with the owner when it was for sale at Autohaus Hamilton. The owner seemed a nice chap and very helpful - more than I can say about Autohaus Hamilton. I spoke to CTS about doing an inspection and the chap there said he knew the car and it was to be avoided. And here they are selling it with a great write up! It seemed like a nice car and sensible money although the risk of buying unseen and shipping costs made it a marginal trade in my book.

Gotta love a stealer!

In what way the front pillar was different? Do you any have pics? Did Chesterton backdate the new front pillar to early style?

adam is in the uk in a few weeks and i will be flying back to meet him. he has put a lot of $$ into the car recently and the only things left to address is some rust on the lower edges of the doors he tells me. this car sold at auction few years back in the uk for around 35k .. thread on impactbumpers.com there is little history before adam as it was owned for a long time by a guy that ran his own servicing and bodyshop. i think the car is fairly priced. the wheels were previously brown to match the car. it is not a concours car but a very good one hence the price. if it helps i bought my lime 75 carrera from CTS and dealt with Rory there. if you want to know any more about the car or CTS feel free to PM me. btw CoA says the car was originally delivered on steels!!!

Sounds like another incorrect COA, information I have is that it had the standard UK options plus chrome trim and a sunroof.

Ian, I'm not certain what the differences are for a 993. We repaired the cars original front pillar and used the new cant rail from the pillar back.
