Fashion Grey A

I haven't a copy in front of me but isn't this the car that's advertised in the back of Keith's mag for £80k?

No Nick, it's not hard cheese because they just sold the 3.2 I had arranged to view tomorrow.

Wow that's a lot of money! No over riders, wrong indicators, non standard exhaust. Must look at my insurance valuation.

Lovely colour though.

Good I wasn't the only one to notice some issues but nice looking. It is trying to look like a pre a?

+ No side deco trims, no horn ring, indicator on wrong side of steering column, rubber mat missing in front luggage area (or not shown on photo) no cabin floor rubber mat (again might not be shown as photo showing carpets throughout) cant see the gear pattern sticker in the windscreen.....

However, 'tis lovely ....but with a stonking price for such loveliness

Wrong colour door cappings........... we are such pedants but for that price it should be a car of utter perfection.

More or less reasonable car and I prefer no overriders as GT's.the exhaust is irrelevant.

The major thing is confirming that the body is absolutely sound without loads of filler.

The rest of the stuff is no big deal and can be addressed.

Should be bought by someone who will use and enjoy it.

That's the reson for buying old cars.

They still have to sell it as run of the mill cars are not moving quickly despite what Porsche Post tells you.

It's GT's,Carreras and Cabs that move.

......not sure if you mean me , but it's good that the price is heading back towards that of the original 'private' listing :)

.....there is a glut of RHD A's on the market at the moment ( fingers of more than one hand needed to count them  )

Has anyone on here made the trip to do due diligence on this one ? Or has the price put people off looking ?

There's only one Mr. L, John.

I have had a look at it through the showroom window when I drove past one evening just after they purchased it. It looked more stunning under the lights than the photos suggest.

The salesman emailed me two weeks ago to ask whether I had considered it. I pointed out that I knew what it was up for privately and he justified the price by saying that they had put it through their workshop to bring it up to the required standard. Obviously this didn't stretch to rectifying the anomalies highlighted above. He did say they were a dealer and would be open to an offer. I also said that if I did happen to have circa £100k in my pocket it would probably go towards buying another 911S.

If you plan on viewing, John, would be happy to meet you there (or in a local pub!)

Nah, I reckon £100k would secure you a pretty decent S (just maybe not at Gooding  )

If I had a £100k this time around, James, I certainly would not insult you with such a measly offer for such a fine vehicle (even though I've heard it sits like Bambi. Or is that sorted now?)

How long have you been tottering around with your car in Bambi spec James ? Is the 2.4S suspension particularly susceptible to waywardness ?

Regards, Mike.
