Mark . . . great job on the night out . . . cheers.
I'm still alittle confused re the tickets after reading Gavin's 912 Register Email.
We can pay on the gate and still park in the 'infield' Porsche parking?
Bootsy, perhaps you could post Gav's e-mail or point me to where it is . . might be able to help, might create more confusion.

I've deleted it I'm afraid Phil, it basically explained about advance tickets (for PCGB members) but no mention of non members or paying on the day.

It stated that advance PCGB members not turning up in the appropriate vehicle would have to park elsewhere etc.

Talked of infield parking and the likes. Also mentioned about last date to get advance tickets etc. but as I said no mention of being able to pay on the day or being able to gain entry for non members.

Did it go something like this ?

Sunday 22nd May.

This event is a first combined meeting for the 356 912, 914, pre impact bumper 911, Carrera RS and Race Car Register in recent times.

All owners and enthusiasts for the pre 73 cars are invited to support the meeting so even if you don’t own a 356 , 914, etc you are welcome to attend the event. There are provisos. The first is that there will be a provision for post 1973 Porsches to park
in close proximity to the event infield. So if you arrive in a Porsche we can get you closer to the action and you can buy a pre paid ticket with a screen pass to enable this. However, even if you are a PCGB member, we cannot accommodate non Porsche parking infield and consequently you will be directed to the public car park. If having acquired tickets and screen pass, should your reliable trusty classic fail to start and you are forced to arrive in an “alternative” non Porsche, then the same applies.

Admission tickets and a windscreen pass, which will allow you to gain direct access to the infield area where this event will take place, are available on a pre paid basis.
The cost is £10 per person for pre purchased tickets, which is a generous saving on the full admission price to the Beaulieu Museum complex. Please make cheques payable to Porsche Club GB.

Irrespective of which model type Register you belong to ALL Requests for tickets ,with payment enclosed ,should be made directly to Fred Hampton at:

Fred Hampton.
47 Connaught Square
London W2 2HL

NB.Cheques should be made payable to Porsche Club GB
A CLEARLY LEGIBLE STAMPED ADRESSED ENVELOPE should be enclosed

Please assist the organisation by booking early and because there will be a number of prizes in a draw of the pre sold ticket numbers, do indicate the year and model type of your car when applying for tickets.

Application deadline is Friday 13th May !!!!!

All owners and enthusiasts for the pre 73 cars are invited .......... ]

I read that as its open to everybody.
If you pre-book there seems to be no checking whether you are a PCGB member or not  , which there might be on the day if "all owners" is an oversight

This is my understanding . . . .

All pre 73 cars will be parked together. Later Porsches will be parked nearby. Non Porsches can bugger off (replica's the exception IMHO). This is regardless of whether you're pre-purchasing tickets or not.

Fred will probably 'key' your car if you're a non PCGB member and he finds out you've pre-purchase tickets  . . . don't get me wrong non-members are welcome . . it's just that the discount is for members.

This is from an earlier post . . .

PCGB members (pre-purchasing tickets)
The cost is £10 per person. Please make cheques payable to Porsche Club GB.
Irrespective of which model type Register you belong to ALL Requests for tickets, with payment enclosed, should be made directly to Fred Hampton at:

Fred Hampton.

NB.Cheques should be made payable to Porsche Club GB
A CLEARLY LEGIBLE STAMPED ADRESSED ENVELOPE should be enclosed

Application deadline is Friday 13th May !!!!!

PCGB Members (arriving on the day)
Pay the normal entry price - £14 p/p.

Non Members
Pay the normal entry price - £14p/p (i.e. can't pre-book)
Won't be able to enter concours events etc.

I'm going, my first DDK do (now I've found the thread). Its on my doorstep so will drive down in the hack ( low and thrashed MK 2 GTI it'll be the one with stinking brakes and a funny oily smell old Porsche owners should recognise).

How do I recognise the rest of the DDK clan ?

I'll try carrying a copy of the Daily Sport under one arm and wearing a carnation, Should make me stand out !! unless any ones got any better suggestions?

I'm giving the tickets away to a few mates who will hopefully be going in my 12, so the car maybe there but I won't.

Hope you have a great day.....post some pics for us poor souls who can't make it!
