Passion! Had a '68 Land Rover beater as a daily in my time in NY. There's a different perception towards what constitutes a vintage car perhaps... I was expecting Stutz, Cord, Model T even

Early 90s and living on the then rent-controlled Spring St, Soho. Had parking in the limo co over the street. Never locked it either! Happy days...

The first guy in this video is my friend Yale. We got together and drove one of the adventures he spoke of in northwestern New Jersey a few weeks ago. We did a drive along a part of the Appalachian Trail. The full trail extends from between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine. Along one area which we walked we met a couple from Germany who were hiking the entire stretch. Yale is an interesting cat. He's part owner of the record label Luaka Bop that was started by David Byrne of Talking Heads. (luakabop.com) He's also into special kinds of Spanish/Italian hams and meats. On the drive we went to a farm in New Jersey that raises Mangalitsa pigs. Look them up on the internet. They have a fascinating history and they taste pretty good too.

These kind of adventures in Porsches are what its all about as far as I'm concerned.
Cheers, Morrissey

It's a great looking car.

I'm guessing the louvres are one of his own 'signature' features

Nice clip and heart warming too.

I spent some time in the early 80's in north California (Santa Rosa) but my car was a V6 Camaro rental.
Old cars everywhere and just a fabulous place. :)

Happy days indeed. I lived in Manhattan for a year in 1997. One of my best years. Not least of which because Mrs R and the three tiny R-ettes lived back in blighty for that whole year 8)

It's a small world Graham, I was living in the Santa Rosa area (Petaluma and Sonoma) 1982-1986, and still have a good friend in Santa Rosa, indeed a lovely part of the world.
