Andy & James ! Thanks so much for the helpful photos and info !!

If this is how it should look then I don't have the Support Ring/Cup Washer afterall !!! :shock:

This presumably butts up against the "shoulder bearing" in the steering shaft housing - (which is what I thought was the Support Ring !!)

So - I think that's the answer !! New Support Ring required.

Bump to an old post but very helpful.

I needed to replace below and now no movement.
