I am looking for new car delivery records on a 1969 911T that was delivered to PON's Automobielhandel dealership in November 1968. The car in question was a USA optioned car.

Were they just a new car dealer or an exporter or both?
Would anyone on the forum suggest a contact person at PON or someone who might know of such records?
Thanks in advance.
Peter

Hi Peter,
Funny no one has answered your question yet.
Pon is the Dutch Porsche importer and named after Ben Pon, former Porsche racer (friend of the late Carel Godin de Beaufort) and long time owner of the company. He has long sold the company and is a wine farmer in Califormia.

Hi,
As has been mentioned Ben Pon was the Porsche distributor for Holland, and from what I know he got this due to his relationship with Porsche as a factory driver. Note that he had the Dutch distributorship for VW as well (far more lucrative for him).
Pon distributed cars not only through Holland, but also sold cars through his distributorship to a few dealers in the USA as well. My father was one of these dealers, ordering cars through Pon and having them delivered either at the Factory or elsewhere in Europe as a European delivery, or imported directly into the USA.
Contact me directly with your serial number and I will check to see if the car you have is in my fathers old files. It's worth a look.
There is currently a car for sale on Ebay USA that my father imported as a used car back in 1970, though most cars he imported were new orders.
