Do you still have the 2.4S Pistons and pots ?

And, the inner sills, are they Porsche 911 ans or replica ?

Following parts now addded to the list
5 new Michelin MXL 175/70/15 tyres. These tyres were original fitment on early 911s from early 1970s with 5.5" & 6" wheels. All still with the original Michelin stickers on them. All been in storage at proper tyre depot since manufacture stopped around 2000. These are some of the last ones made and in perfect condition. If you want a perfect period look then these are just the business with a full set plus a spare jic. £340 for set of 5.

Hi, Im interested in the tyres. Were these the default size for a 1973 911T, I thought they were 185/70/15's ?

Also what is the speed rating.

Cheers

without stomping on Andrews sales thread ... 185/70 was the correct size for the 72 onwards 6" rim

Also, all tyres should be replaced when approx 5 years old ( 10 years is classed as teh maximum age) as the rubber hardens reducing the performance of the tyre ... wether in storage or on a car. Personally I'd not want to be driving any car on 13 year old tyres . Fine for show use.

Sorry Andrew . just don't' want someone to have an accident due to old tyres

Hi James,
just want to point out to anyone reading this that I haven't tried to hide the age of the tyres. I've made it quite clear in the description. I know you weren't implying I had.
Tyres do go harder with age but these arn't too bad at all. The 6 year guidance is of course recommended by manufacturers and applies to tyres fitted to cars, outside in the sunlight and the elements and being heat cycled everyday in normal use. I would suspect that the ageing effect outside in sunlight with road grime, salt, temperature cycling, etc. is several times greater than for a tyre sat inside a depot in storage.
Interesting to note that plenty of places are still selling part worn ones which will be at least as old or older than these last of line ones. Note so sure I'd be so keen to buy one that had been fitted and used ?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175-70-15-86T ... 337f999732
The ones I'm selling have never been fitted and never been outside so that makes them fairly unique. I think they will last longer than 6 years in such conditions. That is not to say that they arn't maybe slightly harder than they were when they were made. A new one of course isn't available to compare but these tyres look fine for normal road use. If someone was wanting them to be a bit softer then there are of course quite effective tyre softener fluids that can be used. I've used these myself but only in a motorsport context and work very well. Happy to recommend one if that interested anyone. I wouldn't say it was necessary for these tyres unless you wanted to go rallying or to do trackdays. Unlikely in a set of Michelin MXLs with their beautifully authentic springy side walls.
These are ideal for someone looking for a proper period look and are OK to use for normal road use imho despite their extra years. Use of an aftermarket tyre softener could be an additional step for anyone wanting to make them stickier than new.
The tyre brand and model were ones originally supplied on early Porsches which is the unique thing here. I wouldn't recommend Michelin MXL for anyone wanting to turn their car into a road racer or to do trackday. They simply arn't suitable for that. These are useful for someone wanting a proper period style/tread look in a proper 70 profile tyre. Modern tyres simply don't look like this any more. 175/70R15 will be fine on 5.5 or 6" rims but I'm sure you are right that 6" rims may haver originally been fitted with 185 tyres. I think these will make a really good set for someone with a spare included. Anyone interested is of course welcome to inspect before they buy if thhey have any doubts, but rest assured though they look like new.
I hope this clarifies things for anyone thinking of buying them.
Andrew
