Material used on Dash board

Post by Prattie »

I know I saw a thread on this but cannot find it.

Has anyone come up with the correct material mines a beige leatherette and I need a little more for where the radio sits ? (Someone had removed it when they upgraded the radio just from that section).

I understand the radio should have the material right across the apeture so just the knobs and display are visible is this correct ??

Steve

PS any pics would be handy as to what it should look like in a 72/73 E

Here you go. These are from a very original 72 S we had in.

HI Nick

I think I have some and as I now know the area is in sections across the car I may have enough to be able to do each section I'll have to dig around in the garage . Do you think it matters its not the same material as leather is thicker and it needs to fit in the groves ?

I have done it with normal thickness leather before so it should be OK

I'll have a play with the small section to the far left of the dash it appears to be on a piece of thin metal.
