Further subtle,reversible mods being carried out as part of de-mothballing; will post further shots, but here's a couple of her coming out of crypt on way to our local porsche Guru, Bryan Kane, who had her running in 15 mins after 5 yr lay-up...

Restoration concluded - after 20 months of tribolation, the car is now on the road!

1976 UK RHD 911, matching numbers with Porsche CoA. Bought with 61k miles on the clock, just turned 62k yesterday.
This is my first 911 and it was a very steep learning curve to get here. I wanted a mid-year, as it has the solid look of the impact bumpers that I grew up looking at, but the elegance of a narrow body car with the brightwork around the windows. It had been painted red in the '80s and fitted with a fiberglass whale tail. When it went back to bare metal for the usual kidney bowl and sill repairs I was offered to backdate, but decided not to. I also pondered for a while what colour to have. I briefly considered Chartreuse but this was never going to be a hotrod so it went back to the original 266 Ice Green Metallic as per CoA. I decided to lose the chrome trim around the arches (they don't fit IB cars in my opinion) so even though it's a UK car it now has the exterior spec of a US car from the same year, including fog lamps and date matched "flat sixes" Fuchs. The 2.7CIS engine is torquey and makes a fantastic noise...

Would a DDK grille badge look good on this?
