Holysh*t... I love it, but I reckon I may have to upgrade the brakes!!

Thinking something a little tamer...

I now have managed to track down and talk to the last American owner of the car. I randomly typed in the guy's name and town in to Google and sent an email to the guy on his work address... Can't believe the first one I tried was actually him. He had sold the car in 1990. It also transpires that he had bought it in 1981 from a friend who is now also in contact... Looks like I've tracked it back to the mid '70's...

I'll get some photos up once I remember my Flickr password!!

It doesn't matter if you speak your mind, because those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter.......!
Lusting after a 30/98, will settle for a 23/60.

It looks super.
I am quite jealous. I have always wanted another 356 but the price and the potential rust problems have always damped my enthusiasm.
Best you don't buy any more cars though or Chris won't have any more room!

The car has arrived and is currently at Chris Turner's.

I'm waiting for a ramp so that we can inspect properly.

Very happy with it so far... That may simply be because it actually arrived! :-)

Time to prepare a list!! Anyone got an engine for sale?

Moment of truth! Underside revealed... Solid(ish) but not how it left the factory.

Front section replaced with sheet steel, rear still original but rough!

Rear section around the torque tube on inside looking a bit crumbley...

Will be cut out and replaced....

On the plus side, the gearbox is the original Porsche item, but god knows what condition it's in... Will find out:

Also, the hubs and drums have all been replaced with vw beetle items! Guess that may be quite an economical solution.... But hey... Still looks pretty!!

Watch out there is a shady looking, hooded character trying to look uninterested in the car! I would be vary wary... I am sure I seen that chap before with a 6, 2" bald, mean looking fella covered in tattoo's who strangely speaks German! I can only think that he's his minder.

I would like to say congratulations on your car! It looks like fun! I'll pop over some time to have a look at Chris's. :)

Pleased its arrived okay. Hope its what you expected when you see it. Might be worth asking PRS if they know of an engine. Some pics would be nice later on.
