Is there Salt already on the roads down south (SE) ?

Post by 72911E »

Weather is cold but dry this weekend. Was hoping to take the car out.

But reading in the papers that with the rain recently, salt has been washed off the surfaces. Not sure what part of the country this is.

Are the roads around London/Surrey already layered with salt?

I was out for a run last night and the gritters were all over the place in Salisbury !

Ruined my plan of driving the family to a Sunday lunch.........

What a pain !

This morning I took the 911 to a bodyshop near Horsham to look at getting some paint done. I'd hoped the roads in West Sussex would be clear (they are near me on the coast), but alas the car is covered in salty crud :-(

They were out gritting the Uxbridge road in Pinner and Hatch End last night. My SSE is in Wembley awaiting its new brake calipers to arrive. Think I'll definately trailer it back home
