The Olympics are finishing this weekend but don’t worry as there are still plenty of car related events to go and visit.
If you like bearded men in leather (Cubist, Bootsy, KS?) then the Bulldog Bash is on at Shakespeare Raceway. There is also the Brooklands breakfast club in leafy Surrey or what about a trip to Bristol, for the Balloon Festival or the Summer Classics event or the Avenue Drivers Club monthly meeting (lots on in Bristol this week). If you don’t fancy Somerset, there’s plenty on t’up north; the air show in Blackpool for one or loads happening in the newly created Independent Republic of Yorkshire (yes we know you are tenth in the medals table). (More impressive than that though would be if you went on population per square mile, the county of Bedfordshire would be top of the medals table)*.
Even further afield, how about a trip to Canada for the Brits on the Lake event or the good old US of A for the Healey Encounter event.
