New here from Audubon,Pennsylvania U.S.A.

Post by Dion »

Hello all,

Just want to say hi and looks like an awesome site.
Found this through a paragraph in "Classic Porsche" magazine.

I have a 73' 914 2.0 "2056" with C.I.S. fuel delivery. Recently rebuilt transmission
and soon to be mounted 16"x 7 & 8" Fuchs to fill out the flares.

Will be tuned in to all forums, interested in original models
of all kinds and autocrossing and all forms of road racing
F1,le Mans, Indy, Touring.
Cheers. Dion

Glad to hear you found us and a good way to discover the forum via our favourite magazine (we have to say that with Uncle Keith around) - welcome!

Ok info on car,

Gave her a "freshening" in 04' Steel
Flares welded on, bare metal respray in its original
Marathon metallic blue. Did all this in prep for the 2005
Porsche parade. Last year after blowing head gasket
A friend of mine helped me rebuild the engine into a "2056" motor.
96mm P & C, a slightly more aggressive cam from "fat performance"
and the inj. System is a hybrid of VW,Porsche,Bosch parts. It is a C I S
System like that of a early Rabbit. It was developed by a guy over here in
Oregon for use on sand rails and beach buggies.
His name was Gary Miller, he is hard to contact now.
Trans also rebuilt this past spring. Hope to dyno it soon.
Expecting near 120hp. I can tell you by seat of pants
It is quicker. The torque is nice all the way thru rev range. Will post pix soon.
Cheers all,Dion

Welcome. Any years about I lived in the Garage State but by the Huston River!

I'm don't know Audubon but I'm assuming that the driving is nicer than the Holland Tunnel and Turn Pike!

Audubon is just a shout from Valley Forge and around 20 miles from Philadelphia. We have our share of traffic from "expansion" swallowing up whats left of farm country in the area. It is more or less a suburban area. We have a few nice roads that are surrounded by woods with lots of curves for a spirited drive.

Thanks Martin
Where to look to see pix of the 911T. From what little I know of them, they seem to be
a real cool car.
