The content doesn't appear to be terribly exciting but there is a dedicated Le Mans Classic app for iPhone, and for the iPad, plus Android available to download for free.

http://www.lemansclassic.com/en/s01_hom ... 1_home.php

It does have circuit and access maps, grid lists, and exhibitor lists though, plus their ridiculous attempts to imitate the revival's 'dress code'

Is anyone booked on the Caen-Portsmouth return ferry for Monday afternoon that won't be using their ticket?

Brian appears to have cocked up my booking and cancelled it. He's got me back onto the outbound ferry which is fine, but on the return journey he can only offer me sailing at 11pm on the Monday night or sailing early Sunday morning - neigh of which are acceptable. He's now looking at alternate crossings on the way back which would not be ideal, but better than nothing. In the meantime if I knew someone wasn't using their return booking then that would be a better options

Cheers

Mark

Tom, you seem very keen to get a cabin companion. What do we read into that?

Thanks for the cabin offer but unless you can fit a 911 in there it doesn't help - it's getting the car across that is the problem

Looks like there is space on the St Malo - Portsmouth ferry with Brittany Ferries on the monday at 10:30 am (but it is not quick and doesn't get in till 6pm). Everywhere else looks booked or cr*p sailing times. There is always the tunnel which is a pretty good option if you can't find anything.

Get Brian to stump up for a FlexiPlus if he puts you on the tunnel. Turn up and priority boarding straight onto the next train.

He's now got me on the speed crossing from Cherbourg which only gets in half an hour after the Caen one, but in the meantime he's constantly looking for a cancellation on the Portsmouth-Caen one and if one comes up they'll transfer me onto it.

Very Frustrating, but Ship happens, and he is trying to sort it out

Thanks - at least any difficulties will be on the way back - by that stage none of us will be speaking to each other anyway

Just taken my car in for it's pre trip complete checkover and it needs.......

NOTHING :)

Never ceases to amaze me how this car just goes on and on and on with zero expenditure and never misses a beat (let's hope that's not a Le Mans jinx...I've had enough issues with the BMW and G.Voyager this year already  )

I received the same pack as Brendan - which is the Paddock Pass? - does the card double for both entrance and paddock?

Assuming you paid for the paddock pass, then the credit card style pass I'd used for both. The people on the gates use a scanner to scan the bar code when you enter and leave.

Make sure you don't smudge the bar code ;)
