Hi
I have pads and discs and fitting kits for the front, I need the kit for the rears, pins and clips that hold the pads. Can't seem to find them anywhere.
Thanks

aha

Im in the process of having my callipers restored (long story) and the calliper man got them from Auto Atlanta but I know he had to go there for calliper seals etc so he may just have got the bits all from one place.

Have you tried Mittelmotor? I think they have the clips etc - part number '0,5207A new

http://www.mittelmotor.de/webshop/englisch/mm.htm under the suspension section

Not sure about other local suppliers

Hope that helps

Cheers Kev, will email them, I thought they might be the same as another car but can't find anything at all, are the clips so important? I have the original rusty pins to use but one of the clips is broken, I really wanted new clean parts in there. Will see what MM come back with as a kit

like your thinking.

I got an impeller from VWH - not the same part number as the 914 but if was £40 as opposed to £kerching. It was identical.

Always worth a look for bits that might be generic as VWH are local (well not international)

The 211 615 269 from VW Heritage are bigger.

Brake spring plates vary in size.

The brake spring plates on the rear of a four cyl are smaller than the ones on the fronts and are different from a 914-6.

Approx. pin to pin centre 38mm (approx.)

If an old clip has split in two, they can be re-riveted together.
Originals are gold-ish in appearance and look different from the replacements which are mainly in silver matt finish.

From memory the rear brake spring clips and brake pad retaining pins are no long available new from Porsche.

New parts don’t stay shiny for long, brake dust soon sees to this, and can’t be seen when the wheel is fitted!

As a wee update, i had purchased these thinking they were front fitting kits, as it turned out they are rear kits.

the clips themselves are the same as Ball Joint beetle caliper ones, (found a pair while rummaging), so now I need kits for the front.
