We're upgrading to a new server

Post by Bootsy »

Just a heads up
Over the next few weeks the site will be moving to a new server

Why?

I'm migrating the hosting onto a bigger and better server and whilst at it, i'm upgrading the hosting package too. This should give us increased stability and improved reliability

It will also give me phone support for the hosting and live chat support if we have problems

When this takes place there will be some downtime, I can't say exactly how much or when but all should be completed by the 1st week in December

It also means we will be moving ip address so there may be a few propagation issues. I'm also hoping this will solve the DNS issues some of you have recently been experiencing

Therefore if you visit and have problems give it a few hours and come back

Thanks

Have you seen what a mess pistonheads.com has turned into!

Slow, had to follow through, lots of 'page unavailable' notes... Hmmm, I now feel even warmer and fuzzier about DDK! :)

Just clicking on the "Classifieds" tab on Pistonheads gives you a "500 internal server error"... oh dear

At least someone spotted it.

"Outstandifold in the wettigrippers" still makes me chuckle
