Hi James,

I hope to be back on that car next week to get it finished. I am fitting mirrors on both doors as I find it very useful for racing. I don't have on the Left yet as I am out of stock of that side.

Thanks

Alan

Hi,

Yes they are 100% anodised, it would leave the wheel unprotected if they are not anodised. I have seen the frosted finished achieved using a mechanical technique, but ours are anodised.

Thanks

Alan,
Have a pair of 9"fuchs, date stamp 7-73 and would like to have them refurbed. Problem is I could do with them matching rear wheels I already have.(see photo).
Image
As you can see by the photo, the anodising on this wheel looks a wee bit different from yours. Is there any way, in the anodising process you can alter the final result. Hope this makes sense to you!

Hi Dougie,

The wheel in your pic looks like standard straight anodised to me. We have done loads of wheels, in fact we have 54 at the moment!
Take a look here for others and the finish. The cost is approx. £160-170 per wheel plus the VAT.

Hi Fabrie,

Before commissioning these arches as seen on my ST rep, (which were taken from an ST), I was going to modify some turbo arches but they are way off and nothing like original ST. Regarding the straight edge, yes some STs did have no lip/edge but most did. I suspect the none lip arches may have been fiberglass. Just check out the total 911 mag (last issue - nb 73) there are several pics of ST racing, most of which have the lines and straight edge as our ones do.

HTH

Thanks

Alan

ST Flares

Post by deudeuesse »

Tks Allan
I have no possibilitie to get the mag , can you scan the pages please? I thought it was fiberglass fenders which were straight and steel fenders with straight line....
So in fact, you have done a perfect copy of ST flares? May I have an offer for rear and front parst please( I sent my email on PM)
tks

Hi,

A few pics with day light on the car. If we can find a few more days to spare we are getting close to firing the ST up!
