Paint colour

A bit of a dilemma with the colour of my car -

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity recently received says the car was - Mayan Green - code 85

I can't find this colour anywhere on the list of 914 colours - whatever year - I'm mystified. My car's a 1974 1.8litre.[ I think ! ]

Amyone throw any light on the subject ?

my best guess - the COA is wrong (happens pretty often)
in MY'74 they didn't use colour codes like 85, but - for example L65K

further more I couldn't find 85 in any other colour brochure


question: what's stamped on your Karman tag?

I think MAYAN green No 35 is a 1975 911 color. Thay did custom paint some 914s at the factory i think and may have given it the 85 No Woz

Your paint code is found on the Karmann Plate located by the drivers door hinges.

Thay did custom paint some 914s at the factory i think and may have given it the 85 No Woz

but if the 914 was factory painted in another Porsche/VW colour, the colour code was 98 - or 99 for "paint to sample"

so, 85 was no correct option for the 914 ...

Just seen a photo of your car and it looks like 'Summer Yellow' to me.
'Berber Yellow' is more green than yellow.

Looks like the mystery has been solved by me simply looking at the correct plate - indicating L 11 D - Berber Yellow.

So, as was first thought the COA was incorrect.
