pm problems

Yesterday I cleaned up my inbox and sent items.
Since then I cannot sent any pm's anymore. They just keep sticking in the outbox.
Any idea what I did wrong?

PM's aren't like emails, more like a pidgeon hole system.
The PM will sit in the Outbox until the recipient reads it, then it transfers to the Sent Box
