R Gruppe club meet - Monterey

Post by shortwheelbase »

My friend Nicolas Hunziker sent me these images of his recent R Gruppe club meet in California. It looked pretty awful, so I thought I'd share them.

I've never seen the attraction of congregating in car parks!

After the week I've had some sunshine and a meeting like that would be perfect!

Yup, I was unfortunate enough to have to drag my 'sorry ass' halfway around the world to atttend this horrendous event in my new (old) 67s, it even rained on the last day - wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Martin, "new" S looks very cool, guess you're very happy with it? Will it make an appearance at CLM '12 or are you leaving it Stateside?

Strangely the decent weather we have been having lately, doesn't seem anywhere near as good as it did.

Am I in a mood coz I wasn't there?

Just a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the driving shot.

Thanks for posting shortwheelbase, anymore pictures?
I love the smell of burnt rubber and hydrocarbons in the morning, it smells of......victory.

Hi Nigel,
Well pleased with the 67S, which covered over 1300 miles over the week, otherwise plan to leave her 'Stateside' whilst I still work out of Singapore so will be using my 72T for CLM next year.

See, it does rain in California.

Whata drag.
What fab cars though!
Why does it always look great in the Golden State?
