Picture up-loads: suggestion

Post by 911hillclimber »

I do not know the techie terms for all this so please be patient.

I use another web site for another interest (Historic Karts) ans on that straight-forward site they use a great method to up=load pics.
Goes like this:

You open a thread, or a post in response in a thread etc, and to add a pic there is a tab at the bottom of the post page prompting 'upload image'.
You click on that and the promt is to 'brows' and that takes you to 'My Pictures' or a host (ie Tinypic I use) and you click on the pic you want to post.

The pic is added. You can load i think 4 pics this way (ie 'large web page' pics.)

The post is added to the thread, and the pics are there instantly and can be enlarges by about 10% too by clicking on the picture.

It is fast and so easy to use.

Just a thought.

I'd rather not. Hosting images on the server will just up costs so linking to hosted pics elsewhere saves the load on our server
