ZF Steering box pegs

Post by Paul @ P R Services »

Hi Guys.

We have just made another run of the ZF steering box pegs.

They are tested, ground and hardened….
Now you can rebuild your steering box again  ….or we can for you

Sorry for the price but you can see the amount of work in them
£50 + VAT

Paul does anyone make the wormgear? I have a mate who has a pre 52 vw bus steering box that needs a rebuild and i think the internals are the same as 356???
Nice peg btw, do you reuse the other part of the peg and the rollers?

very nice :)
do you stock the bearing races used inside the steering boxes as well paul?

my spare box was dismantled for inspection (without my authorisation) and the gimp who pulled it apart has damaged a bearing race .

The earlier boxes are different. They don't have a peg.
They have a really mad looking ball with the grooves cut in for the worm gear.

I have rebuilt a couple of the early boxes but they is not much that goes wrong and I have always been able to nick the parts from a box of bits.
We only keep the seals in stock.

Hi Steve.

No sorry......I have just had a look in the steering box box and I haven't a spare.
Again we don't re-make or stock them because they are always ok...unless a gimp looses it of course

I have about 10 complete boxes in stock but that kind of defeats the object for you.

Hi Guys.

I have just price checked these and normal retail is going to have to be £60 + vat.

If you would like to order, just mention DDK and I will keep the old price of £50 + vat for you.
