2 Historic Rallies coming up !!

First is a new event - Usual Irish stuff , closed roads - 31st Oct , with entries from 3 rallying greats to start off with ... Billy Coleman , Russel Brookes , and Jimmy McCrea - no idea (apart from RB) what they are driving .. hopefully a 911 in there somewhere.

Next up , well established event , Killarney (Kenmare to be precise) on 4th Dec .......... first round of the Irish Historic championship for 2011 (could only happen over here !!)

Shark swimming in both !

I see your name now on the entry list ............ a class win could be on the cards possibly ?

Service crew ? - I am not taking one either ... but will have a car (and driver I hope) there with tools and an assortment of "fix it" bits (I can be quite inventive !)
Feel free to tie in with me there , and make use of what I have (may be of little use , but you never know !!) - and if you have a smallish box of favourite bits ....... bring them along with you and throw them in the pot too.

Just a pity it clashes with Circuit retro ... still reckon I can fit in the start and possibly the first test, on route ! "Sponsor" of the shark build is coming over to compete in it (retro).

I see both Russell Brookes and Jimmy McRae will be taking part. I have great memories of their battle in the 80s

One down , and loading up now to tow the 250 miles to Killarney ... assuming snow lets me. Developments for this event are two fold - first is a new navigator , and the other is the plan to have two cameras - one on the roof !! and the other providing a more "normal" in car perspective. Luckily the sound system will not be recording my voice - just the pace notes and the ambient growl of the V8 , which at about 6,000 rpm is very nice !
Scenery up Molls gap should be nice at this time of the year ....
