PUA272L RSR rep
Does anyone have any knowledge of PUA272L pls?
It's a white RSR rep on a 1973 911 E and was built by Bob Watson in 1989 as a project for Thoroughbred and Classic Cars magazine.
It was then competed on the circuit, apparently by Alec Poole and Henry Pearman amongst others, before becoming a hillclimber in the Channel Islands.
The history file with the car shows the original build article in the magazine and the details of what's gone into the car, but doesn't really back up the later competition use.
Any knowledge, pictures or general hearsay gratefully received.

I well recall that car when it was down at Bob's new place.
It was the reason i went to him in the first place to do some work for me. Fab car.
I never knew it went to the hills in the Islands, but i would think a call to Bob might help a lot? Some years ago it came up in conversation with Bob and he did have some understanding of it's exploits since it 'left' him.
I think it lost it's engine a long time ago.
Tracking down car's competition history is tricky (I've spent 2 years tracking mine down with considerable success) but if the car is on the hills or was, try asking about it on www.uphillracers.com a site specifically for hillclimb cars .
A very 'DDK' group of people. A guy called Steve Wilkinson is a wizzard on history of the sport.
Good luck.

Thanks both.
Definitely still the same S based motor - it's a nice easy number to remember! Look like genuine RSR heads and it purports to have an RSR crank and manifolds, though now running modern Jenveys throttle bodies and Omex management.
It is indeed a very cool car.
I'll have a chat with Bob Watson.
