About €2.2 mil if the current 911 price inflation is anything to go by... :)

I`m intrested in this as well. I would say 50-55k but that`s an ill informed guess just to get someone who knows what they`re talking about to come out of the woodwork.

Mike.

2.2 mil Lol

I'm asking on behalf of a friend who has one needing a new floor pan and sill both sides. Thing is its matching numbers etc but I've no idea what they are worth or whether it's an economic salvation. If there's worth £30,000 then no it isn't but if it's worth £50,000 then it is.

Ought to be worth that if spot-on I'd have thought.

The ex Teddy Yip / Jay Kay one made over £90k...

Sorry Sam, I'm a blond after all! Are you saying the £50,000 is about right if spot on? otherwise, if nice but not concours £40,000 +?

Sorry, yes, if RHD it ought to be there when you consider what a 2.4 makes. I can't see Helen's old 2.0 S for sale any more and that was £55k...

I reckon they are worth around 55-60K in concours condition. Just as the RS has pulled the 2.4S up around 25- 30k in the last 3 years, the same will, is occuring with the 2.2S. The much debated 2.2S on ebay last week is a good example. Most people bidding had not even viewed the car.

Even the parts specific to this model are selling for big money, if you can find them. £1k- 1.5k for an oil console, or how about 3k for a NOS oil cooler sir!

A well sorted 2.2S is a fantastic car.

Just my 2 bobs worth.

and rumoured to be the pick of the bunch when it comes to early 911's ..... although I'm convinced the 2.4S is the best ;)

I'm one of those that think the 2.2S is the best of the early cars ...

The Teddy Yip car had a racing provenance, hence the high selling price.

Similar cars James, but one sounds like a washing machine.

How convenient, I have a (used) one....

Its the Steve Mc Queen Le mans connection... rarer than the 2.4S, extremely rare in original configuration and as rare as hen's teeth in UK AFN delivered RHD guise.

Alan hopefullly has coined the market with his weird fetish   so these ones are now nicely documented and properly restored.

The 2.4S was pulled up by the halo of the 2.7Rs but the aficionado kept schtum -nothing so brash as talking up the price in this house my boy- and hold onto their 2.2S...

My 2 cents,

Bert
