It's been while since I have posted on DDK...
So, it's now that time when I have to sell my 911 to finance some other projects.
1970 911T 2.2
Imported from South Africa in 1999. Not much history from before then.
I bought it in 2006 and have been trying to keep it in good shape since.
All work was done by Jaz Porsche at Wembley (Thanks Steve).
The car was obviously repainted in its past life from Aubergine to the current Red.
2006: Refit the whole suspension + add anti rollbars front and rear
2007: Gearbox rebuild
2008: new SSI heat exchangers
2009: refurbished weber carburetors + refurbished Bosh distributor
Also in 2006: underseal the car for protection + replace all seals
I have the invoices + the MOT certificates.
It's not a concour car, it's meant to be driven regularly. I drive it every week end and I've been to various trips in France with it over the last 4 years.
It's kept in an underground residential car park.
The good things:
Original interior (as far as I can tell)
Drive really nicely now, beautiful noise!
The bad things:
There is a patch at the back where the paint is lifting due to rust. It has not changed since I bought the car.
Milage: 83 000 km. Don't trust it though as the speedo had to be changed at one point in time.
