It it possible to get LED tail and indicator light bulbs? The lights on my car are particularly dim (much like myself :)
2014 VW Beetle Turbo R Line

1968 SWB - much missed (still receiving counseling)
Chesil Speedster (It was a good idea at the time)

I bought some dual 'filament' (read 'function') rear LED lights for my Type 2 VW camper. Can't remember if the 356 bulbs are the same (two, offset lugs on the base of the bulb for both brake & side light in one bulb)

However, my van (as does the 356) relies on the reflector dish behind the bulb to make it bright & full.
Since the LEDs only shine straight out the back of the bulb (unlike the regular, 'bulb' bulb :? ), they don't shine in the reflecting dish and, despite the brightness of the LED lights, they weren't as bright or 'full' as the standard bulbs.

I'm sure that could have been explained better but, unfortunately, not by me 8)

Bought mine from ebay BTW like THIS

Actually, this one I've just linked to has LEDs on the side so might do what I'm saying they don't

There is, you can buy LED bulbs that shine forwards and backwards thus making use of the reflector.

I remembered I'd seen something on the 356 Registry site on this subject.

The Porsche 356. Echo from the fifties.
